There are many different ways that people go about building a chicken coop or chicken house. - (6) 2×6 Pieces of pressure treated pinewood
- (1) 20 Foot roll of barbed wire (for predators)
- (1) Bag of instant concrete
Above are just some of the items that should help you get started in building your chicken house. Obviously you are going to need a lot more material than what I have listed above. With the materials above, you should be able to construct a solid base floor with posts to elevate your base platform and also one solid wall. Now, I have not listed insulation assuming you might not need insulation between your walls. But, if you desire insulation between the walls of your chicken house, there are many types of insulation out there to choose from.
